「秋刀魚」

Fish category similar to sardine is called "Bluefish" or "Shinny fish" in Japan.   This type of fish is very tasty in Autumn in Japan and they are extremely good for health.  I made a variety of fish dishes each at different days.  They were so good that I thought that I really need to come back to Japan in this season again.

「光り物」秋は青魚が美味しい。最近は熊本でも美味しい秋刀魚を頂けることに感動する。秋刀魚は北陸以北で獲れる魚で痛みが早いので、一昔前までは熊本では生秋刀魚は食べられなかった。最近では輸送手段が発達して、秋刀魚も牛深産のピチピチの鰯も本当に美味しく頂けるようになった。日本の秋は本当に食べ物が美味しい。
