Kumamoto Jishin

People in Kumamoto; my home town had enormous fear, pain and loss with huge earthquakes occurred twice nights of 14th and 16th April.  My family, relatives, friends are all fine but the shakes continue endlessly.  We've lost so many treasures we've kept for many years in the region.  It's nobody's fault and we have to accept nature and move forward, but the pain of loss is unbearable....

「熊本地震」地元熊本が14日夜と16日の夜の２度の震度６と７の地震に襲われた。家族、親戚、周りの人に怪我や大きな被害はなかった。地震の障害は当初は相当なもので、丸２日は大きな余震が続く中、飲み水、食べ物がない状態だった。

現在８万人の人が避難生活をしている。家が崩壊するかもしれない恐怖で多くの人が、夜車中で寝ている。現在も震度３、４の余震は続くが、市内は今日ガスが復活して生活は随分落ち着いたようだ。

みんなが大切にしてきた熊本城は崩壊し、阿蘇も立ち入れない。前向きに復興していく以外に道は無いし、誰のせいでもないから仕方ないけれど、多くの人やものを失って心が痛い。
