Katsudon



I rarely make Katsudon but this is one of my husband's favorite dish.  Each time I make this I thought of needing of it's specific pan for this.  If you make Oyako don; Chicken and Egg over rice, you know that you need a individual size Oyakodon pan to make it perfect.

In order to make the egg with sauce in perfect condition, you cannot use usual frying pan otherwise egg will spread around the size of the pan and it loose its' density and easy to get over cooked.

「カツ丼」あまり作らないが、夫が大好きな料理。作る度にやっぱり親子丼鍋が必要だったと思う。小さなサイズのフライパンでもダメだ。きっちり丼の一人前の大きさでなければ、卵が広がってしまう。道具が増え続けているので使用頻度の低いものを買いたくないが、持っておくべきかもしれない。
