I rarely make Katsudon but this is one of my husband's favorite dish.  Each time I make this I thought of needing of it's specific pan for this.  If you make Oyako don; Chicken and Egg over rice, you know that you need a individual size Oyakodon pan to make it perfect.

In order to make the egg with sauce in perfect condition, you cannot use usual frying pan otherwise egg will spread around the size of the pan and it loose its' density and easy to get over cooked.
