Silkie Soup


Silkie is a black skin chicken that is used for Chinese medicine soup in Singapore.  It's slightly cheaper than chicken because they're very skinny and can only use for soup but the soup is considered that it's better than chicken.

I tried it for the first time to see the taste.  As a matter of fact, there was no significant flavor but the taste of chicken.  I was afraid that the soup's color becomes black but it didn't in the end.  The taste of the soup was not mild as normal chicken but very tasty.
