This is my mother's proud recipe of baked cheese cake. It's not that she invented it but she learned it from her baking teacher about 30 years ago. Since then, all of my family member mastered this cake making except my father. This is very simple yet taste amazing.
Japanese people love baked cheese cake. There are many types of cheese cakes and I believe this type of cake is invented in the U.S. Yet it's much lighter than NY cheese cake. In France it calls "Tourteau fromager" but this is very different from my recipe.
これは私の母が30年程前にケーキの先生から習ったレシピ。材料はとてもシンプルで重くもなく軽くもなく、感動的に美味しい。日本で人気タイプのふわふわのものではない。子供の頃から家族みんなの大好物で、今では父以外は皆作れるようになった。
チーズケーキは昔から日本でも大人気のケーキだと思うが、意外にパティスリー発祥のフランス菓子には同様なものがない。フロマージ・ブロン(生のチーズ)にフルーツのクーリをかけて食べる方が多く、焼いたケーキ「Tourteau fromager」は正直、全く美味しくなくて驚いた。
