St. Jaques au fenouil







"Scallops with fennel" I believe that this is one of the common way of presenting scallops in French cuisine.  The fragrance of the fennel really goes well with fish but scallops as well.  Maybe with leeks "St. Jaques au poireau" is rather common but I think this is better in summer.  The sauce is lemon and butter.

「帆立とフヌイ」フヌイは英語でフェンネル。フェンネルは魚料理と合わせることが多いが帆立でも合う。これはフランス料理ではわりとよくあるコンビネーションだと思う。「帆立とネギ」の方が一般的だと思うが、ネギはクリーム仕立てになるので、こちらの方が夏向き。ソースはレモンとバター
