Toki no Niwa - Kusatsu

I was introduced this Onsen hotel by my friend who is from this region.  I was very surprised that the hotel was very well managed and had wonderful service.  The price was also very reasonable.  

The hotel was relatively new, so it's bath was very clean and comfortable.  Also, they had more than a traditional Japanese Onsen style of services.  One of the things is the futon bed.  Also, we could choose breakfast, either Japanese or western style.  We definitely have chosen a western style with eggs and bacon with coffee.  Bread were delicious as well.

「草津温泉・季の庭」ここは、群馬出身のお友達のお薦めの温泉。東京滞在中に母と東京からの一泊旅行をすることになり、温泉重視の草津を選んだ。

この宿で驚いた事はサービスの良さ。規模がそれなりのお宿なので、お風呂など設備がよいし、スタッフが多い。お部屋の備品の質や細部までの「至れり尽くせり」感には驚いた。この気配りが、都心からの客を受け入れる体制なのだと思った。同時に九州の洗練度のレベルを痛感した。

お食事は大きな宿のそれで、若干の味気なさを感じる気がしたが、料理長のサービス料理などのサブライズがあり楽しかった。朝食は和食か西洋かを選べる事がとても良かった。温泉でコーヒーと美味しいパンを頂けるのはありがたい。

草津は所謂日本一の源泉量で、温泉がメインだ。お風呂は２４時間体制で、誰も居ない露天風呂で満点の星空を眺めたことが、この旅の一番の思い出。このお宿、交通費はかかるもの、とてもリーゾナブルで大満足。
