Liberty

For the first time, I've visited the Liberty department store and I was very impressed with their products.  I'm not a big fan of flower prints but they were so adorable.  There are less and fewer shops to sell sawing materials and fabric these days in the world but this is the most impressive shop I've ever been to.

「リバティ」よく知られた老舗のデパートだが、私は初めて行ってみた。そこは驚きの世界が広がっていた。最上階は生地と手芸用品で埋め尽くされていている。リバティ柄と言われる花柄の生地がとても可愛らしくて魅了された。

フランスや日本でも今は手芸用品、文具、紙、書籍などの商売で生き残ることが難しい。私の印象ではイギリスは今でも良い書店、カードショップ、文具店などが生き残っていると思う。
