Tawarayama 2014

End of September is the beginning of autumn in Mt. Aso.  It was not good weather when we drove there but it was great to see the Susuki grass.  Tawarayama is covered with Susuki grass.  They are bright green in the summer but turn colours to gold with the spikes in autumn.  I could see both colours at this moment.

「俵山」９月末の景色。この日は天気が悪かったが、それもそれだ。阿蘇の景色は夏の終わり。秋の草花が沢山咲いていた。秋草なんて、今までその存在に気付いたのだろうか。

ススキの穂が出たばかりで、葉の青々しさも残っている。葉と穂の色の層が、絨毯のようだ。
