Flowers and Greenery Expo 2022 in Kumamoto

 

This has been my long waited event in Kumamoto; Flowers and Greenery festival.  This is a huge expo that goes around in Japan each year and Kumamoto is holding it this year.  I'm very pleased to see the flower boxes laid in the centre of the city; Sakuramachi.  Although the weather was not too great that day, the flowers are amazing!  Those colours and shapes are something to see.

「花の博覧会２０２２熊本」花博は全国を回る博覧会、熊本は３０年何年ぶりだそうで、随分前から入念な準備が進められていた。街エリア、水辺エリア、山エリアの３カ所で開催されていて、楽しみ方や体感が全く違うイベントがいくつもある。

以前からとても楽しみにしていたので、街エリアには直ぐに行ってみた。天気はあまり良くなかったけれど、クラシックの生演奏があっている中でこんなに沢山のお花を見ることが出来て本当に素晴らし体験だった。これから水辺エリア（江津湖）、立田山エリアにも行く予定。
