Hotel Dinner

The hotel dinner we had asked to book in advance had great deal.  We were also unexpectedly surprised with the quality of food.  The local ingredients are cooked very well.  Bakewell tart was my discovery.  The tart was simple yet very good with local clotted cream.

「ホテルのディナー」このホテルのもう一つ良かったことは食事がとても美味しかったこと。シンプルな料理だが、材料も良く美味しかった。子供のメニューもちゃんと美味しかった。毎日フィッシュ＆チップスだったので、ワインに合う料理は落ち着く。ベイクウェルタルトという地元のケーキがコーンウォールのクロテッドクリームと相性が抜群で異常に美味しかった。

Hotel Beach - Falmouth

The water of Falmouth bay is very clear.  With sunlight, the colour of the sea is beautiful emerald green.  I really loved this quiet beach for walking.  It's not a season for swimming but it was wonderful.

「ホテルのビーチ」ホテルから降りていった先のプライベートビーチはとても静かできれいだった。コンゥオールの海はどこも透き通ってとてもきれいだ。だた、日の差し加減で印象が全く違う。空が暗いと、どんよりして見えるのだが、雲が晴れるとイギリスとは思えない海が見える。

Meudon Hotel - Falmouth

We stayed at a wonderful hotel in Falmouth Cornwall.  I found this hotel on the internet but everything was so much better than my expectation.  We had a superb experience through their garden, private beach and the dinner.  I'm especially impressed with the garden which was one small hill that leads to a beautiful private beach.  We took a long walk in the evening and also in the morning.

「ミュードン・ホテル」ファルマスという海岸の町のホテルが素晴らしかった。ディナーも評判のオーベルジュ。ネットで見つけた所だが、ガーデンが素晴らしいとの評価だったので、とても楽しみにしていた。ところが、私たちの期待以上のホテルだった。

お天気にも恵まれていたが、ガーデンは庭というより一山ほどあり、プライベートビーチまで歩いていける。良く手入れされた庭は、素晴らしいイングリッシュガーデンで、色とりどりのお花や、見たことがない植物が咲きほこっていた。

Marazion - Cornwall England

We stopped by some beaches in Cornwall that looked appealing to us.  Marazion is famous for its a castle on offshore, St. Michael's Mount.  It's exactly alike to French Mont Saint Michel.  I didn't go into the castle itself but spent a lot of time on a beach.  Space was vast in 360 degrees.  It was a wonderful walk.

「マラズィオン」イギリスのモンサンミッシェルと言われるセイント・マイケルズ・マウントがある浅瀬の海岸。広大でとても気持ちよかった。城まで行かなかったが、しばらく時間をかけて贅沢な散歩ができた。

Sam's - Fowey

This is a famous local fish restaurant that I've found on Trip advisor.  The shop didn't have many tables so we waited for 12 o'clock opening in front of the shop and got in right away.  As for the good reviews on Trip advisor, the food was simple and very good.

「サムズ」フォウェーの町の真ん中にあるトリップアドバイザーで見つけた評価の高い店。人気店なので１２時の開店と同時に入った。シンプルな料理だが、評判通りに美味しかった。ホタテのバターソテーはホタテも新鮮で柔らかく感動の美味しさだった。

Fowey - Cornwall England 2

There are two famous local delicacies in Cornwall, Cornish pie and Creme tea.  I've found a few bakeries to sell Cornish pie which is filled with potatoes and bits of beef steak.  They're rich but the crust is rather thin and nice county bite.

「コーニッシュフード」コーンウォール地方はコーニッシュパイとクリームティーで有名だ。コーニッシュパイとはじゃがいもと牛肉を塩胡椒で味付けされたものが薄いパイ生地で包まれているもの。フォーウェにはパイのベーカリーがいくつかあり、客が列をなしていた。パイは熱くてとても美味しかった。お腹一杯になるが、素朴で好きだ。

Fowey - Cornwall England 1

Fowey is a lovely village in South Cornwall.  It took me by surprise because I didn't think the village is so pretty and I really fell in love.  Water in the bay was very clear with sunshine.  I absolutely loved the village, the shops, the boats.  It's a really nice place to visit.

「フォーウェ」サウスコンウォールのとても可愛い港村。訪れるべき所だとはわかっていたが、こんなに良い所だとは思わなかったので驚きだった。海は透き通り、日がさすとエメラルドグリーンに輝いていた。村のショップなどもとても可愛らしく、素晴らしい思い出ができた。
