Minami Aso - Jigoku Onsen

Minami Aso is south part of Mt. Aso and this is a part of Aso where I had much easy access to drive from the city.  We always go to the same Onsen so I looked on the internet to search for some place new.  Actually, I've found a very old onsen called "Jigoku Onsen" with ambience.  It's rather rustic but not exactly in a bad sense.

「南阿蘇~地獄温泉」南阿蘇は実家からアクセスがよいので良くドライブに行く。お昼そばを食べて立ち寄り温泉に入って帰るのだが、いつも同じ所に行くので、近場の温泉を調べてみた。結果、山の中に「地獄温泉」という古い湯治場を見つけた。さびれた昔の湯治場だが湯はいい。地元でも知らない所は色々とあるものだ。

１３日に中岳火口が噴火したので、この景色も今は噴煙で霞んでいるかもしれない。
