Shungiku is a leaf vegetable that origin in Japan I believe. It's one of the most important vegetables for Sukiyaki. It goes very well with Japanese soya sauce with sugar. I made the hot pot with pork with tofu for the shungiku. I really loved this combination.
「春菊鍋」蕎麦出汁を少し甘めにしたような出汁で春菊入りの肉豆腐鍋を作った。和牛が良いに違いないが、豚の薄切りで。春菊と醤油の香りの組み合わせがとても好き。
