Black beans

 

For some reason, black beans are the food of the new year in our culture and we hardly have them except the new year day.  Therefore these beans are very expensive before the new year and the price drop drastically after that.  

I cooked a kilo of them because the beans were on a bargain.  I seal them in jars so that I can keep it for a year.  It's even good as gifts.

「黒豆」正月後に豆がとても安くなっていたので、大量に炊いてみた。料理長に習った方法を試したかったというのもある。ふっくら上手に出来たが少し自分で思うより甘くなった。２、３日に分けて砂糖を足していくのだが、どうせ後から甘くなるのでそれは必要ないと自分では思う。
