Apéritif et Fromage

I adore the culture of France, especially their food culture.  Within their food culture, I love having apéritif and cheese.  "Apéritif" means having small drinks with finger foods before dinner.  Cheese is usually eaten after dinner before dessert.

My husband's family usually eat cheese before dinner as an aperitif with a small amount of red wine.  Because the cheese is so irresistible to wait for the dinner!  French cheese in France is absolutely different from the one exported to overseas.  The freshness, the maturity, the taste and the fragrance is very different.

フランスのチーズの種類は約４００種類と言われていて、フランスで食べるチーズは輸出されているものとその鮮度、熟成度、味、香りが全く違う。和食が日本で食べるものと海外で食べるものとの美味しさが天と地の差であるのと同じだ。私はこれを堪能するために、行く前にダイエットしたようなもの。
