I love Soba noodle. When I go back to Japan, I have soba for lunch almost every other day. You can also go to soba for supper. If you go to soba place alone and ordering sake with small appetizers such as "Itawasa" or "Dashimaki" to enjoy early evening, it's very chic.
Soba is best served with Tempura. This mix of vegetable is called "Kakiage". It's mix of carrots, onion and string beans.
「そばの夕べ」冷蔵庫の掃除もかねて、かき揚げを作った。人参、タマネギ、インゲンを入れた簡単なものだが、とても美味しくできた。かき揚げは切った材料に天ぷら粉をまぶして水を少し加えるだけなので、とても簡単だ。
そばの日はお酒の日で、ちまちまとつまみをいただくのが楽しみ。次回は、茄子の田楽などのもっと粋なつまみを用意しようと思う。
