Kappabashi

I used to spend so much time in this area when I was living in Tokyo.  This time I came here to buy a chef knife.  My professional chef knife is made by Wusthof; a German brand but after many considerations, I've realized that it's best to buy one in Japan of the Japanese maker.

I've realized that there are many new shops to deal with knives now than a few years.  Kappabashi is so known now with professionals all over the world to buy knives.  I've found a nice shop with a seller consulted me very well with my request.

「合羽橋」上野からかなり歩いて合羽橋へ。以前はよく行っていたのだが、包丁を買うために久しぶりにやってきた。包丁は専門家と相談して買いたいので、わざわざここまでやってきたのだが、とても親切に詳しく教えて頂ける店で納得のいく買い物が出来た。

合羽橋は近年では世界中のシェフが包丁を買いに来るとこで有名になり、１０年程前より随分包丁店が増えていた。外国人も多く見かけた。
