Umekawa Tei is a Ryotei located inside of Ueno Park. After spending more than two hours in the museum, I didn't want to take another long walk so I planned to have lunch here. Plus, Unagi is one of my missions to accomplish when I come to Tokyo.
Unaju was not exactly my favourite because the sauce was too light but the table and its location is super. I've spent great lunchtime with a great view of Toshogu.
「梅川亭」美術館でかなりの時間を費やすことを見込んで、ランチはここですることにしていた。梅川亭は上野公園内にある料亭で、うなぎや会席ランチが楽しめる。３階のテーブル席では東照宮の五重の塔も眺めることが出来し、ゆっくりと食事が出来る。
肝心のうなぎはイマイチ。うなぎ自体は美味しいのだが、タレが薄すぎる印象。肝吸いも良くない。ただ、ミュージアムレストランでの食事より良かったと思うので仕方ない。上野公園は広く、駅周辺の店まで遠いので、その条件下ではオススメ。
