This is my very last thing to try in Hong Kong home dish since I've heard that this is very smelly. Yet it seemed that this is very popular here so I tried. As soon as I steamed the dish I've realized that this is one of the most unwanted smell I've had. I need to put a lot of ginger and spring onions to kill the smell but the taste was ok.
「咸魚蒸肉餅」肉餅の具で地元の人に人気なのが、この咸魚のもの。臭いがするので、今まで避けていたが、挑戦してみることにした。イワシなどの魚の乾物とはまた違う臭みがある。生姜とネギを大量にかけて食べてみた。食べると臭みをまあり感じないが、私はかなり苦手な臭いで、もう作ることはないと思う。
