Akiyoshidou

Akiyoshidou is the largest underground cave in Japan located in Yamaguchi.  It's about 1km long, the depth is 100m.  It's a space you've never expected to see so large inside.  I've been there for the second time but it was an amazing place to visit again.  It's like I'm in a scene of movie; Indiana Jones but the place is completely natural.

We visited on Monday afternoon so there were not many tourists.  It was very exciting to walk alone in such dark and deep cave.  It's very dark inside so it was very difficult to take photos.

Above the cave, there is a file called "Akiyosidai" which is a large filed with small rocks and it's a wonderful place to take a long walk.  We didn't go there this time because of the rain.

「秋芳洞」山口の美祢にある秋芳洞は日本で最大の鍾乳洞。全長１km、天井から底まで１００m以上になる。中に入ると日本にこんな場所があるのかと驚く。とても広くて暗く、起伏に満ちて素晴らしい。まるでインディージョーンズの世界だ。しかも人工ではない。

月曜の午後だったのであまり人が居なく、暗い洞窟を探検したようで楽しかった。暗くてあまり良い写真は撮れないが、行く価値のある場所だ。秋芳洞の上は秋吉台という広い高原があり、ハイキングが出来るが今回は雨で断念した。
