Hagi

Hagi is the old capital of Choshu.  It's surrounded by Japan sea.  I love the towns of Sanin; Japan seaside for its ambience.  Hagi is a very nice small town to walk around.  Houses are very different from other parts of Japan.  They keep the traditional regional style of houses.  When we visited, it was raining so we just drove by car.

We could see beautiful colours of the turning trees on the mountain.  It was even nice with mist on the mountain.

「萩」萩は日本海に面したデルタ地帯にある長州の城下町。地味な所だが、私はその雰囲気が好きだ。山陰地方は、九州や山陽と異なり、日本家屋が多く残り、街の景観が整っていて美しい。特に石州瓦の色と艶が見事だ。

今回は残念ながらかなり雨が降っていたので、車で見て回った。山の紅葉がとても綺麗だった。次回は街歩きをしたい。
