Yamaga

This is an old town outside of Kumamoto where I often go for because of a certain reason but I've never spent much time in the town itself.  This city didn't suffer from the airstrikes of WW2 so there are many old Japanese houses are left.

The main attraction of this town is Onsen.  There are two Onsens that you can stop by without staying overnight.  The quality of the spring water is excellent.

「山鹿」熊本市から３０キロほどのところにある温泉町。空襲がなかったところなので、今でも古い家や街並みが残っている。温泉の質はとても良く肌がツルツルになる。街の真ん中にある「さくら湯」に初めて行ってみた。とても広くて湯質も良く、なぜ今まで行かなかったのだろうと思うくらいだった。

おそらく週末は多いので、平日がおすすめ。山鹿の街の入り口付近にあるJA鹿本の「夢大地館」も市内にはないほど野菜や肉の質がいい。ただ、午前中に行かないと物がなくなってしまう。夢大地館→そばたか木→さくら湯がおすすめのコース。山鹿は最近おしゃれなランチ所が色々できているようなので、また探索してみようと思う。
