From this year, Tosca was new production and it was expected to be an exciting renewal for many opera fans. We've asked a couple who attend opera every season in Scala for the reservations of tickets but it went sold out on the sales day.
I'm not very familiar with this opera so we've studied well in advance about this story. Thanks for the couple and a Japanese opera singer who went with. She gave us a great amount of knowledge beforehand.
「トスカ」このオペラは今シーズンで新しいプロデューサーになり、チケットは発売日に完売するほど人気の高い公演だった。チケットが高額だったので、前々から勉強会を開いて頂き勉強して臨んだのでとても良く楽しめた。
私はオペラ初心者だが、オーケストラの質の高さと歌声に感動した。舞台装置はとても大掛かりでクリエイティブで、素晴らしい作り込みだった。さらに事前に観賞したDVDともかなり違う演出で驚いた。
ただ一つ疑問に思う事が、脇のボックス席はものすごく体をよじらせないと観えない。昔の劇場だから故だと思うが、ある程度の値段を出してあまり観えないというのは、現代の感覚ではいかがなものかと思う。観え方はイマイチだったが、オーケストラに近くて音楽を存分に楽しむ事ができた。
