Sakitsu

Sakitsu is a famous small village in Amakusa.  It's known because it became a world heritage site for the history of "Hidden Christian".  We came in the morning of a weekday, so there were fewer tourists but there are so many tourists these days.

「崎津集落」隠れキリシタンの文化で世界遺産になった崎津。教会だけではなくその集落自体が世界遺産であるそうだ。今回は平日の朝に行ったので、それほど混んでいなかったが、とても小さなむ村なのに、世界遺産になったことで週末などは人が溢れている。

可愛らし集落で、のどかな独特の雰囲気がとてもいい。ただ、天草でも僻地なのでここへのアクセスはどこかで一泊するのがおすすめ。
