Natural style Ikebana

When I was in Japan, I went to see an exhibition of "Shinsei ryu Ikebana" and I was very impressed with the style.  Shinsei ryu style is natural yet chic and sophisticated.  There are many styles of Ikebana in Japan and as a matter fact, I've never found anything so impressive until I've seen this exhibition.  I think it's because the master in this exhibition especially has an extraordinary taste and artistry.

熊本で「真生流」のお花の展示会に行く機会があった。私は初めて拝見したが、とても感激した。 そのお花はナチュラルな色使いで、自然を現するスタイルだが、とてもシックで洗練されている。

流派の特徴もあるかと思うが、私は熊本の先生の芸術性にとても感動した。この展示会は彼女の卒寿（９０歳）のお祝いのものだった。ネットで家元の作品などを拝見したが、なんとなく、熊本の先生の作品の方により魅力を感じた。彼女の作品はよりダイナミックな印象がある。

今回は、香港にある花でなんとなくそれっぽい生け花をさしてみた。私は一度も生け花を習ったことがないので我流。
