Sin Heng is one of the famous Bak Kut Teh shop in Singapore. I actually haven't been to any of Bak kut teh shop yet so I tried with the closest one from my home. Bak kut teh is pork ribs cooked in Chinese spice soup. This is very specific to Singapore that I've never seen or heard of this in Hong Kong before.
I liked the pork ribs cooked tender enough to remove the meat from the bone with chopsticks. The soup is not very spicy but has deep taste with soya sauce flavor. I usually order fried prawn rolls at local Chinese, which was very good. I assume that other dishes besides bak kut teh is good here. I'd like to come back again.
「新興牛骨茶」シンガポールのバクテーで有名店の一つ。近所にあるので行ってみた。バクテーとは豚のリブ(排骨)を煮込んだ中華スープ。スープが独特で薬膳のような味わいのあるのが特徴だ。色んな店を試した事がないので、比較がわからないが、この店はマイルドな醤油風味の薬膳スープという感じ。
一緒にとった料理はエビのすり身の湯葉巻きの揚げ物。これはシンガポールの中華には絶対ある春巻き的な料理。美味しいし、店の料理のレベルを見るためには比較になる小皿。全体的に評判通りとても美味しかった。牛骨茶以外の料理も美味しいのだろう。
