The last tomato sauce of the season

 

Ripe tomatoes are probably the last ones in the season.  I made a big jar of sauce but I realized that the tomatoes were better at the beginning of the season in July.  Yet the sauce made with fresh tomatoes is the best.

「最後のトマトソース」路地ものの熟れたトマトはおそらくこれが最後だろう。今年はトマトの出始めでソースを作ったが最後も作ってみた。トマトはジューシーで美味しいのだが出始めの頃の方が味が濃かった。

私の今回のソースの作り方だと色が薄く出るのだが味は色ほど薄くなくとてもフルーティーなトマト味。残りは茄子のミートグラタンにしよう。
