Carrot cake

I was wondering why this dish is called "Carrot cake" for a long time.  Then I read that this term of Carrot means turnip in English.  This is basically strips of Chinese turnip cake fired in wok with soya sauce.  There are black and white version of this this, with dark soya sauce or without.

「キャロットケーキ」これはシンガポールのホーカーによくある料理。キャロットケーキ？？と何のことなのか意味不明だったのだが、ここで言うキャロットとは大根だと言うことが最近分かって納得した。中華の大根餅を棒状に切って炒めた料理。

大根餅はソースと一緒にスーパーに売ってある。これを高菜の漬物とチリ、シメジ、もやしと一緒に炒めた。ソースは甘辛くて美味しかった。キャロットケーキにはブラック（醤油炒め）とホワイト（醤油なし）がある。
