Alcazar de Segovia

This is another attraction of Segovia.  Spanish history has always been between the hands of Muslims and Christian.  Alcazar had built from the 11th century after the city was on the Christian's, however, Umayyad conquested Hispania in the 7th century.

I think this Alcazar is rebuilt and the original is little left.  We didn't have time to go see inside, but it looked very interesting.  It's said that the castle is a model of Disney's Snow White.

ここに限らずスペインの絵画や装飾を見てるとイスラムの影響を受けたものを感じる。城の中には入らなかったが、とても良さそうだった。外壁はおそらく近年に作り直したものだろう。ディズニーの白雪姫のお城はここがモデルだそうだ。
