Catedral de Segovia - 1

Catedral de Segovia was astonishing.  We had absolutely no idea that this would be one of the most beautiful cathedrals I've ever seen in my life.  First of all, it's not very known.. at least to me..  According to the wiki, the cathedral was build in the 16th century, in late Gothic style.  I thought that the cathedrals that built in 16th-century exist so many in Europe that I don't know most of them...

「セゴヴィア大聖堂」 知らずと入った教会が見たこともない豪華な大聖堂だった。フランスでもあまり見ないくらいの規模で豪華絢爛。宮殿の様な大聖堂だった。セゴヴィアは世界遺産ではあるが、こんな田舎にこんな教会があると思ってはいなかったので驚いた。

ウィキによると、セゴビア大聖堂の建設は古い所が１５２５年ー１５７７年のゴシックスタイル、その後は１７世紀。内装の原型は１８世紀に出来たそうだ。１６、１７世紀はヨーロッパはカトリック教会の勢力が最も強かった時代なのかもしれない。
