Street of Madrid

I came to Madrid 15 years ago and it was a good memory to me.  Some reason I like this city.  To be honest it's not really a charming or beautiful city but some reason I like it very much.  The atmosphere of downtown is very special, not trendy at all but people are nice and earthy...

Though this time I felt that there were much more people on the street than it used to be.  That was disappointing.

「マドリッドの街」マドリッドは１５年前に訪れた時から何だかとても好きな街。雰囲気が独特なのだ。大都会なのにものすごく土っぽくて田舎くさい。バルセロナはカタロニアだが、マドリッドは正にスペインの本流という感じ。昔の建物はゴテゴテした装飾で、近代の建物は共産国っぽい。少し貧しさが現れている。洗練というものの反対にある感じ。

街は変わっていないが、以前より人が多くなった印象があった。中心地あたりが人が多すぎて「擦れた」感じがする。オシャレなエリアは別の方角にあった。
