My family love marinated mackerel called "Shime saba". August is not exactly the best season for mackerel yet but we made shime saba numerous times while I was there.
「しめ鯖」父がシメサバが好きなので、８月なのに何度も作った。鯖自体はまだ脂がそれほど乗っていなくてまぁまぁだが、鮮度が良いと割と良いシメサバができた。鯖の大きさによって塩の量を調節しなければいけないと思った。
