Buddhist Service for Memorial - Majima

「瑞鷹」

We had a Buddhist service for my grand mother's memorial for the first year since she had passed away.  We have this service at the temple after 49 days, one year, three, seven and thirteen years after when a person passes away to get the remaining family together.  This is a very typical service for all Buddhist family in Japan.

After the service is taken place in the temple we usually have lunch together.  We had a great lunch with my uncle and aunt at Ryotei in the country.
