Barcelona

This is my second visit to Barcelona Spain.  I went there about 15 years ago when I was in the U.S. with my mother.  The reason I travelled to Spain is that Spain was a very popular country and travel destination for Americans.  American people study Spanish as a first foreign language therefore many students were travelling to Spain.

In my past impression, Barcelona was not the most favourable city in Spain to me so we decided to spend only one night here.  Though this time I've discovered that this city was a lot more attractive.

The day we went there was on a Spanish holiday and there was a big manifestation of Catalonia independence.

「バルセロナ」スペインを旅行するのは２度目。１５年前に旅行して結構好きな国だったので、今回は両親と訪れることになった。当時アメリカに住んでいたのでスペインに好印象を持っていた。アメリカ人はスペイン語を第１外国語として勉強しているので、大学から留学する人がとても多い。旅行した友人などもからも、とても良いと聞いていた。フランスほど堅苦しくないところもアメリカ人に人気な理由だろう。

前回の旅行の経験でバルセロナはかなりの観光地という印象が強く、今回１泊だけにしてしまった。しかし、予想より今回は好印象だったのでせめてもう１泊したらよかった。到着日は祝日で、カタロニア独立運動のパレードが行われていた。
