Streets of Barcelona

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and it's a big city.  Last time I came here was in the summer so there were too many tourists.  I felt there was less this time yet there are so many people on the street.

I don't like the streets of this city but I love the style of the buildings.  They are very unique in their own way.  This time I didn't have time to walk near the beach.

「街の様子」バルセロナはカタロニアの首都でかなり大きな都市だ。夏にはヨーロッパ中（特に寒い地域）から大勢の観光客や学生が訪れる大衆的な街。南仏のニースやカンヌに同様で、夏は人が多過ぎて参る。今回はそこまで感じなかったが、まぁ観光客はとても多い。

旧市街以外は道路の幅が広く、あまり可愛らしい感じの街ではないが、私は独特な建築物が結構好き。所々かわいい店がある。カタロニアはスペインから独立しようとしているくらいなので、スペインとも少し違う独自の文化がある。

街は北の方が少し上流で海岸のほうがダウンタウンという感じ。ただ、一概にあまり高級な店はない。ランブラス通りは海に近くなるほど寂れていく感じがある。バルセロナのビーチは海が青くて割と綺麗なのだが、歩いて行くのには遠い。
