I arranged a trip for my parents to Hong Kong in early March. For the restaurant choices, I mixed luxury places and casual places to enjoy the full Cantonese of Hong Kong. For the Sunday dim sam, we went to Maxim to enjoy the causal sim sam. We waited for a while but the food was simple and great.
「マキシム」両親を案内した今回の香港の旅。レストランは色々考えた結果、高級な所と大衆的な所を折り合わせたチョイスにした。両親の意向や、昔行ったことのある所の思い出もなぞりながら。
シティーホールのマキシムは一般的だが、大きなホール（大樓）の雰囲気が香港らしくていい。昔の香港には広いワゴン式の飲茶どころが結構あったが、時代と共に消えたように思う。私がここに初めて来たのは高校生の時だった。
料理は典型的な飲茶料理が数多くある。香港の物価はもちろん日本より高いが、あれこれとってもそれほどかからない。
