I have a thing with painting and art material shop. It's very difficult to operate art material shop in recent years and there is almost no such shop in Singapore or Hong Kong or Kumamoto.
Sekaido is the largest shop in Japan. I had been looking for watercolours for a while and I was fascinated with the amount of them they had. There are only a few boxes in Singapore's biggest art material shop but there was one full wall of them in this shop.
「世界堂・新宿」日本で一番大きな画材店。透明水彩絵の具を求めて行ってきた。棚一列全部の水彩絵の具で、その数と種類の多さに驚いた。これがどれだけすごいことかと言うと、シンガポール最大の画材店には３種類、５箱くらいしかない。
透明水彩絵の具はとても高価なので、選べる店で買いたい。画材フェチの私には天国のような店で、結構な時間を費やしてしまった。油絵の具はフランスの方があるような気がするが、水彩や日本画の画材は世界一だろう。
