My friend and I had experienced Mandarin Grill for the first time. I didn't do much research on this restaurant. I've read that the chef is from El Bli but I only found out about it after our visit. No wonder of the style of his cooking, though without prior knowledge, his presentation was a bit too surprising to me.
It started with the amuse-bouche. The presentation was very unique. I loved the egg with mushroom mousse. Though the other two things were questionable. Also, I made a mistake of my choice for the starter. I chose a vegetable dish but "Flowerpot" was something I was not very fond of it. The main course of beef was great, especially strew style of beef brisket but the other part of beef was slightly tasteless.
The dessert was absolutely wonderful. I love their speciality of Cheese cake. It was salty but delightful.
