Kikuchi Park

 

There is a huge park in front of the Kikuchi shrine which is very much the center of the city.  It seemed like they placed a new and vast tent for a part of the park to avoid the strong sun in the summer.  I thought this was a wonderful idea to enjoy the park even when it's hot.

We didn't need the shadow of the tent of this time since it was not too hot we had a picnic in the park with the bento we bought from the center shop.

「菊池公園」菊池神社の元の菊池公園は芝一面で広々として気持ちがいい。最近テントを張られていて、それも強い日差しの夏にはとても良い施設だと感心した。日本の夏は暑いので日陰が大事だ。

この日はまだそれほど暑くかったので、物産館でお弁当を買って公園で頂いた。他にも木陰で敷物をしてお弁当を食べている人は何人もいて、のどかなピクニック日和だった。菊池は米処なので、お米がとても美味しい。シンプルなお弁当はおかずの味付けも良かったし、ご飯がとても美味しかった。

菊池の良さは温泉で、主にここに来る理由。その中でも城乃井のお風呂が好きでよく行く。シャンプー、ドライヤーなど全ても持ち込みなので準備をしてお出かけを。ツツジの時期にもまた行きたい。
