Naporitan Brunch
"Naporitan" is Japanese originated pasta which is made of thin cut vegetables and ham seasoned with ketchup. In last twenty years, we are able to have genuine Italian pasta but this was Japanese version of simulated Italian pasta in the past.
Still many people favors this retro taste of dish. I hear that for Italian people ketchup seasoned spaghetti is not acceptable but Japanese people like this because it reminds of old days; my mother used to make it when I was young.
「ナポリタンと玉子サンド」イタリア人にはパスタをケチャップで味付けするなんて、到底受け入れられるものではないらしいが、たまに食べたくなるナポリタン。ケチャップだけでは味が濃いので、白ワインとトマトペーストを合わせたものも半分入れている。スパゲッティはよく茹でて、くたっとした具合がいい。
