Les Halles

Les Halles used to be a central wholesale market of Paris for many centuries until 1971.  After the market moved to Rungis.  They renewed the construction of a shopping mall last year.

I don't have many interests in Les Halles itself but I always come to this area because there are few professional cooking tools shops in Rue Montmartre.

「レ・アル」レアルは古いパリの卸売市場で１９７１年にランジスに移設されるまで、何百年もの間パリの食を支えていたい市場。７１年にショッピングモールになり、昨年にモールが新しくなった。

私はモールには行かないが、昔の名残でこの辺り（モンマルトル通り）にプロ様のキッチン道具屋がいくつかあるので、パリに来たら必ず来る地域だ。ここを通り抜けて、ポンピドゥーセンターを通るとマレー地区に通じる。
