Pistou Soup

Pistou soup means vegetable soup with basil pesto sauce on the top.  You can make it from the Italian style of minestrone soup.  I don't know if this is French or Italian.

「ピストースープ」ミネストローネにペスト（ジェネベーズ）ソースをたらしたもの。イタリア料理だかフレンチだか分からないが、バジルの香りが立ってとても美味しいスープ。

スープは日本では材料の食感があるものが汁物という感じだと思うが、じっくり煮込むのがフランス流。
