Vegetable Miso Soup

 

Miso soup with slices of pork and vegetable is called "Tonjiru" which is very common Miso soup.  I sometimes make it with bacon instead of pork which gives a good stock to the soup.

「野菜とベーコンの味噌」ベーコンを使い切ってしまわないといけない時など豚汁的なものをベーコンで作ることが結構ある。豚汁に使う日本の野菜、ゴボウ、芋、こんにゃくなどはシンガポールのスーパーにもあるのだが、日頃から買い置きしている野菜ではないのでこんな感じの味噌汁になる。海外在住日本人あるあるではないかと思っている。
