Takikomi Gohan


I didn't use the Japanese rice but this is one of the most common homemade rice dish of Japanese food.  It's rice cooked with root vegetables such as gobo, lotus root, bamboo shoot, Konnyaku with sake, mirin, and dashi.

I usually have this with miso soup.  This combination is somewhat a soul food for me.

「炊き込みご飯」米は日本のコメを使っていないが、久しぶりに作った炊き込みご飯。今回は具材を味付けして煮含めたものを事前に作っておいてご飯と一緒に炊いた。人参が入っていなくて色が悪い。。
