Nuka herring

Nuka marinated herring is a pickled fish I bought in Hokkaido.  It was a vacuum packaged and frozen.  This dish is something I've never had before because it's a very local delicacy of the Northern region of Japan.  We don't have this fish where I'm from nor the way of the cooking. Though I was surprised to find how good this dish was.  It's not easy to find but this is absolutely delicious.

「ニシンのぬか漬け」これは北海道に行った時に買ってきたものを冷凍していたもの。初めてぬか漬けを食べてみてその美味しさに驚いた。これは北海道、或いは東北の一部の郷土料理で、その言葉通りニシンをぬか漬けにしてあるもの。めちゃくちゃ美味しいから機会があればぜひ試してみてほしい。酒に抜群に合う。
