Torijaga


Nikujaga is usually made with slices of Japanese beef with potatoes however it's difficult to find Japanese beef in Singapore, I make this dish with chicken.  I've heard that east part of Japan called; Kantou people make this dish with slices of pork but I prefer making it with chicken if I don't have beef.

「鶏じゃが」シンガポールでは所謂和牛の切り落としの様な、肉じゃが用の牛肉がオージービーフしか無く、あまり美味しく出来ないので鶏で作ることにした。豚で作ったこともあるが、九州出身故か豚は肉じゃがには違和感があり過ぎる。鶏じゃがは牛肉には劣るが、少し甘辛くしてそれなりの料理になった。
