Gratine de petite pois


I don't know the reason but there are no fresh green peas sold in Singapore.  They're usually a speciality of spring in Japan or in France.  I assume the reason is that we don't have spring season in this region... I can only buy frozen peas here.

This is peas cooked in chicken stock then oven baked with bechamel sauce.  It goes very well on the side of a meat dish.

「グリーンピースのグラタン」シンガポールには生のグリーンピースがない。グリーンピースは春の野菜なので、おそらく東南アジアは暑すぎるのだろう。冷凍のグリーンピースにベシャメルソースをかけてグラタンにした。簡単だがとても美味しい肉料理の付け野菜。
