Tomatoes and cucumber are simple ingredients but the key of this dish is rice vinegar. I tend to use rice vinegar to my dressing everywhere because it's much milder than wine vinegar.
A mix of rice vinegar, sugar a pinch of salt is a well-known marinade in Asian cooking. You can add some water if the vinegar is too strong for you.
「トマトときゅうりのなます」これは焼肉に合わせた野菜料理。豚バラ肉は脂が強いので、さっぱりしたものを合わせたかった。トマト、きゅうり、玉ねぎになますと同じ甘酢をかけたもの。米酢、砂糖、塩だけだが美味しくていくらでも食べられる。
